HUMMINGo Payment Policy
1. Pricing Structure
1.1 User Types
HUMMINGo's billing policy is determined based on the number of active teachers within an organization.
Individual User: Organization with 1 active teacher.
Organization User: Organization with 2 or more active teachers.
An "active teacher" refers to a teacher currently subscribed to a paid plan. Inactive or pending-invitation users are not subject to billing.
1.2 Billing Unit
Pricing is based on a per-teacher monthly rate.
Total charge = Plan price per teacher × Number of active teachers.
All prices are exclusive of VAT.
2. Plans and Pricing
2.1 Plan Types
Free / Basic / Pro
2.2 Subscription Options
Monthly subscription (auto-renewal) / Annual subscription (prepaid)
Annual subscriptions are offered at a discounted monthly equivalent rate.
2.3 Proration Policy
Daily rate calculation: Daily Rate = Monthly Price ÷ Number of calendar days in the month.
Calendar-based calculation (28 / 29 / 30 / 31 days). Amounts are rounded down to the nearest KRW.
3. Billing Cycle Policy
3.1 Individual Users (1 Active Teacher)
Monthly or annual billing may be freely selected.
When changing plans or billing frequency, a new billing cycle begins on the change date.
Any price difference is charged immediately. The billing date is reset to the change date.
A new invoice is generated for each subscription or plan change.
Example: If a user upgrades from Basic to Pro on February 10 → The price difference is charged immediately on February 10. The next billing date becomes March 10.
3.2 Organization Users (2 or More Active Teachers)
The billing cycle is fixed at the time of initial paid subscription. The billing date cannot be changed.
Any changes in pricing due to plan changes or teacher count adjustments are prorated and consolidated into the next scheduled billing date.
One invoice is generated per billing cycle.
Example: If the billing date is the 23rd of each month and a teacher is added on February 11 → The prorated amount for Feb 11–Feb 22 is calculated. The amount is added to the invoice issued on February 23.
3.3 Common Rules
If the original billing date does not exist in the following month (e.g., January 31), billing occurs on the last day of that month.
VAT (10%) is added to all applicable charges.
4. License (Teacher Count) Changes
4.1 Increasing Licenses
User classification is determined at the time of the license addition request.
If adding a teacher increases the organization from 1 to 2 active teachers, the account immediately transitions to an Organization User and follows organization billing rules.
Organization Users: Prorated amount is added to the next billing cycle.
4.2 Decreasing Licenses
No cash refunds are provided. The unused prorated amount is converted into internal credit.
Credits are automatically applied in the following priority order: Recurring subscription fees → Additional license charges → Upgrade price differences.
Credits are non-refundable and cannot be withdrawn.
5. Plan Changes
5.1 Upgrading to a Higher Plan
Individual Users: New plan features apply immediately. Price difference is charged immediately. Billing date is reset.
Organization Users: New plan features apply immediately. Price difference is prorated and added to the next billing date.
5.2 Downgrading to a Lower Plan
Individual Users: Downgrade applies immediately. No refunds for the current billing period.
Organization Users: Downgrade applies from the next billing cycle.
6. Billing Frequency Changes (Monthly ↔ Annual)
6.1 Individual Users
Monthly → Annual: Annual fee is charged immediately. A new annual billing cycle begins. No refund for previously paid monthly amounts.
Annual → Monthly: Change applies after the current annual subscription period ends. No mid-term refunds.
6.2 Organization Users
Billing frequency changes are treated as contractual changes. New billing terms apply after the existing subscription period ends.
7. Refund Policy
7.1 Monthly Subscriptions
Payments are non-refundable. Exceptions may apply in cases of service failure attributable to HUMMINGo.
7.2 Annual Subscriptions
Full refund available within 7 days if the service has not been used. "No usage" is defined as no AI evaluation usage.
If usage has occurred, refund amount is calculated as: Refund Amount = Annual Payment − (Monthly List Price × Number of Months Used). Partial months exceeding two months and one day are rounded up to three months.
7.3 Refund Requests
Refunds cannot be requested directly through the system. Users must contact customer support. Eligibility and refund amount are reviewed individually.
8. Payment Failure and Suspension
8.1 General Principle
HUMMINGo operates on a prepaid subscription model. Invoices are generated even if payment fails. Unpaid invoices are recorded as outstanding receivables.
8.2 Dunning Period
Duration: 7 days. Service remains accessible during this period.
8.3 Suspension
If payment is not completed within the dunning period, the account status changes to "suspended." No new invoices are generated while suspended.
8.4 Re-Payment
Payment is applied to the existing unpaid invoice. The original billing date remains unchanged.
9. Subscription Cancellation
Users may cancel at any time. Service remains available until the end of the current billing cycle. No further charges occur after the next billing date.
10. Payment Notifications
Email notifications are sent for successful or failed payments.
11. Policy Changes
HUMMINGo reserves the right to modify this policy as needed. Changes will be announced in advance via service notice or email. In cases of legal or urgent operational requirements, notice may be provided after implementation.
