Chapter 5. Service Refunds and Contract Termination
Article 17. Membership Withdrawal and Restrictions on Use
-
Withdrawal Request
- Members may request withdrawal at any time through the account settings screen within the service, and the company will process the request without delay. However, if other users remain in the organization, an "Owner" account may withdraw only after administrative authority has been transferred.
- Upon membership withdrawal, the account is immediately deactivated, and service access and login through that account are no longer available.
-
Organization and Data Handling
- Removal from organizations: Upon withdrawal, the member is automatically removed from all organizations to which they belong.
- Retention of organization assets: Even if a member withdraws, if other members remain in the organization, classes, assignments, student data, and similar materials created by that member are considered organization-level data and are not deleted.
- Organization deletion and data disposal: If the withdrawing member is the only remaining member in the organization, the organization is automatically deleted.
-
Payment and Credit Handling
- Automatic cancellation: If a member withdraws while using a paid plan, the recurring billing service is automatically canceled at the same time as withdrawal, and no additional payment will occur afterward.
- Expiration of benefits: Upon withdrawal, any remaining usage period and any promotional usage counts held by the member are immediately extinguished and will not be restored or reissued even if the member signs up again.
- Refunds: Since withdrawal is regarded as a forfeiture of the service usage right, no separate refund is provided.
-
The company may suspend service use or revoke membership status if a member violates these Terms or applicable laws.
Article 18. Subscription Cancellation and Refunds
-
Subscription Cancellation (Termination of Recurring Billing)
- Users may request subscription cancellation (termination of recurring billing) at any time through the settings menu within the service.
- When a subscription is canceled, the user may continue using the paid service until the already paid usage period expires, and automatic billing will stop from the next billing date.
- Even if a user requests cancellation while using an annual plan, no prorated refund for the remaining period due to mid-term termination will be provided, and the right to use the service remains in effect until the end of the annual subscription period.
- In the case of mid-term termination for already paid service fees, refunds for the remaining period are generally not provided because, due to the nature of digital content and services, the value is considered to be immediately exhausted or individually consumed.
-
Withdrawal of Subscription, etc.
- A user who has entered into a contract for a paid service may withdraw the subscription within seven days from the date of receiving the written document describing the contract details under Article 13, Paragraph 2 of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc. (or, if the supply of goods or services is delayed beyond receipt of that document, from the date the goods or services are supplied or the supply begins). However, withdrawal is permitted only when no paid features such as AI auto-evaluation have been used at all within seven days from the date of payment completion for the paid service.
- In the foregoing case, the user must express their intent through the customer center within seven days from the date of receiving the written document describing the contract details (including email), and the company will refund the payment within three business days from the request date.
- Notwithstanding items 1 and 2 above, if the content of the goods or services differs from what was indicated or advertised, or if performance differs from the contract details, the user may withdraw the subscription within three months from the date of receiving the goods or services, or within thirty days from the date the user became aware of or could have become aware of that fact.
-
Refunds may be restricted in the following cases:
- If more than seven days have passed since payment.
- If, even within seven days after payment, the user has used a paid service such as AI auto-evaluation at least once.
- If the service was provided free of charge through an event, promotion, or similar program.
-
If a refund arises for reasons attributable to the user, the user may bear any payment processing fees or similar charges incurred.
